About the Book

As a child, I was drawn to the written word. For me, writing was like a soothing balm or a quiet friend, comforting. Writing poetry gave life to the words of my unspoken voice. Writing poetry was my personal journey that gave meaning or order to my life.

About the Author

Throughout the years, my poetry has been the inspiration for church sermons, a school program, and recently, one was put to music, as a “Philadelphia premiere” of one of my poems, “Winter People / Summer People.” I found solitude in writing poetry. Writing poetry gave life to the words I often found difficult to say out loud. I was raised in Philadelphia, have five children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
