We drove through the aspen and fern forests and saw lots of grazing cows but few other cars or people. He drove, making many turns onto smaller and smaller highways and graveled roads until we finally arrived at a very beautiful lake. A huge log had been felled near the water's edge and made a very comfortable seat. Rex served me a nice glass of my favorite wine and a delicious roast beef sandwich with all the trimmings. Then came the most delicious strawberry cheesecake I've ever eaten. This was one of the most gorgeous, serene places I had ever seen. I was savoring the fine lunch as well as the scenery when Rex came over to massage my upper back and neck. Almost immediately his hands went to my throat and he began to choke me. I finally realized what was really happening. As I write this, my breath is very short-just the memory of that moment is truly breathtaking!
