About the Book
A Frog’s Tale is the story of a frog that goes on an adventure through the forest with his animal friends. As the animals try to return home, their journey is disrupted by strange creatures tearing up the forest. The animals hide until they think the coast is clear, and then as they make their way home, they encounter the new ground, with a whole new set of strange creatures. Frog tells the story of how he is determined to cross the new ground to get back to his cool, wet pond.
About the Author
My name is Derrick Schofield. I was born January 5, 1979. I am the youngest child of Charles and Pauline McGraw and have lived in Chattanooga, TN my entire life. I love my city. I remember when I was attending Rivermont Elementary, there was a story writing contest. Out of the entire school my story was chosen. I believe that was the start of my interest in creative writing. From Rivermont, I was enrolled into the Red Bank School system. I graduated with honors in 1997. I was inspired to write the most by my English teachers. They saw something in me I did not see in myself at the time. Betty Woomer was the most inspirational teacher I ever had, giving me the drive to better myself. I also received great inspiration from working at Orange Grove Center. I learned no matter what has happened or will happen in life, dreams can become a reality. I have had a dream for many years of becoming a published author and, like many of the recipients at Orange Grove Center, my dream is now coming true.
