About the Author

I have been in the marketing and promotions business for over eighteen years, starting in the marketing department of McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada. I then worked at the ad agency for McDonald’s, then Coca-Cola, then Miller Brewing Company. For the past eight years, I have focused more on the graphic design aspect of the business and have loved the creative side of design and writing. I have always loved singing and songwriting as a hobby and find that I can best express what I am feeling through words, song, or poetry. I figured that writing a fun children’s story would be a new adventure and another venue for creativity and expression. I live just outside of Toronto, Canada. I am married to an awesome guy named Matt and have two girls, Ava Faith, five, and Ella Jaimes, two. Although the main character was inspired by my daughter Ava Faith, my husband was the trigger for this creative endeavour because he chases the girls around at night, threatening to tickle their pits.
