After school that day, Looper and Julia stopped to talk to their old friend, the Wise Old Worm. Looper asked him what he should do about the new kid, Woolly, and about how the other children were treating him. The Wise Old Worm said to Looper, “Treat Woolly like you would want others to treat you and do not listen to the other children. Some day they will understand.”

About the Book
Woolly Bear is a new kid at Pillar Elementary. When Woolly walks into his new classroom for the first time, the other children quickly notice that he does not look like them. Looper and Julia are two students that are in Woolly’s class. They feel bad for Woolly and want to make him feel welcome at Pillar Elementary. Three bullies start to tease Woolly until one day in the lunchroom; one of the bullies gets a taste of how it feels to get made fun of because of how he looks.
About the Author
Dawn fuller was born October 23, 1977. She came from a small town in Michigan called Henderson. She is one of seven children, six girls and one boy. She has three children, 2 girls and 1 boy. She wrote and illustrated her first children’s book in Nov 2011, named Looper.
