George the Rottweiler pup, was born blind. He didn’t know any different, so he did not really mind. Shipped over from Ireland, feeling lost and alone. Waiting for someone to rescue him, from the dog home. Then one day, someone did come to take him home and be his mum. His eyes were gone; they would never mend. But his mum had other dogs, who would be his friend. George would bang into things, and get in a muddle. But he was always picked up, and given a cuddle. Taken for walks and to be free. For George there is no better place to be.

About the Book
I am a poet who likes to write about the day to day aspects of modern life. The frustrations that happen to people and make them think why? And laugh about. I like to write about the fun things that my young children get up to and the innocence in there play. On a more serious note, I write about the event’s that happen in the world (Amy Winehouse, 9/11, Whitney Houston) and try to give the respect that is due to the occasion. My main purpose is to entertain and try to make people smile when they read my work. I hope that different people from all walks of life will find something that they can relate to in my book and enjoy reading. Kevin Crookes
