About the Book
This collection provides a lively spread of poems that covers just about any aspect of a child’s growing up and life experiences—the surreal scenarios played out in some of the poems, such as “The Friend in the Mirror,” which depicts a very real life experience. These poems were written just for sheer fun. Some will make you smile and reminisce, some you may not entirely understand. Some are for pleasure in sounds and rhymes, and others have been written to arouse a child’s curiosity and amuse. Poetry is certainly a way of capturing the essence of life—it is a way of sharing experiences, feelings, and in the end, does a good job of entertaining us all. This is for both children and adults to enjoy, so whichever it is, indulge yourself in the richness of the collection. Learn something from it, for in the end, there is joy in learning.
