About the Book

I wrote this book because I wanted children to enjoy reading about sleeping animals and listening to the rhymes. This book is factual because the ways and places in which animals sleep are accurate. Hopefully, children will be stimulated to inquire about other aspects of the animals’ habits and habitats. Sleepy Faces in Sleeping Places makes an excellent bedtime story!

About the Author

Laura Runion is a first-time author, who, from childhood, has loved books and poetry. She has a bachelor of arts degree in English from Illinois State University. She is currently a homemaker living in Virginia with her husband and is the mother of four grown children. Her great delight has been to read this book to her three grandchildren. -------------- William L. Dowdy, associate professor of art, has taught at Blue Mountain College for thirty-six years and for three years at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Memphis and received his master’s degree from East Tennessee State University. Both of his degrees have a concentration in drawing and painting. His work has been shown in both group and one-man shows in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Washington, DC. He has worked in both public and private collections all over the United States.
