They continued carefully through the cave. All of a sudden it became very steep and they began to climb towards a light which was no bigger than a pin prick. The light seemed to beckon to them to follow it. Squary Wary whispered, “What is that light, and where is it leading us”? “Maybe, we should go back to the house.” Roundy Boundy said in a small voice. “I think we could go a little further, don’t you” said Squary Wary excited about the adventure. “Ok” whispered Rundy Boundy, a little frightened but still keen for an adventure. They walked slowly towards the light which became brighter as they drew closer. Suddenly they found themselves looking down on an area as big as a large field.. There were toadstools of many colours. Some were white with red dots. Some were red with white dots. Others were black with yellow dots and yellow with black dots. Squary Wary noticed others that were green with white dots and White with Green dots. To the surprise of Squary Wary and Roundy Boundy they all had little doors and windows. “They are like little houses. Someone must live in them” said Roundy Boundy. 5 Almost in answer to their question a little pixie appeared rubbing his eyes. Roundy Boundy poked Squary Wary in the ribs. “Ouch! Roundy Boundy that was sore”said Squary Wary and Roundy Boundy put his fingers to his lips to keep quiet. Oh Dear! The pixie ran back into the little toadstool house and slammed the door quickly. “He must have heard me, “whispered Squary Wary. “If we want to see them we must keep VERY QUIET.”. After a while they saw a face peering around the door and the same pixie appeared again. He looked carefully around him and slowly came out of his house again.
