About the Author

CAROLYN BARR is a retired bookkeeper, mother of three children, and grandmother of five. As her children were growing up, she would make up stories to tell them. In her retirement, she decided to have this one published for her grandchildren. She lives with her husband, Johnny, in rural Mississippi, where she enjoys painting, sewing, and scrapbookking, as well as writing. Her husband putters in his wood working shop and in gardening, while she enjoys time in her studio that her grandchildren have lovingly named "Nan's Playhouse".
