In order to win the princess' hand, Sohrab must experience things he would never imagine, and face terrible people and situations. At the end, he learns the true meaning of friendship and love, and becomes a new person.

About the Author

Mahdi Alizadeh Ziaei was born in Iran. As a child, he would enjoy listening to stories his father told him. From an early age, he developed an interest in literature, and as soon as he could read, he started reading story books. However, he never forgot the amusing stories his father told him. Those stories were passed down to him orally from generations before him and contained wisdom and cultural points he enjoyed most of all. This interest in literature compelled him to study English Literature. However, one of his main hobbies is still writing fiction and mainly children’s stories. The book you are holding is his first published juvenile fiction, but he has a number of other books under his belt and has also published a few literary works. Mahdi writes stories about the old traditions and myths of Persia (Iran), and enjoys reviving the oral tradition of storytelling passed down to him from his ancestors.
