About the Book

Stories from the Mugglewhuft is a compilation of poems bringing light to the simple things in life that children notice and adults might have forgotten in their busy day-to-day routines. The poems are short and full of imaginative thoughts and illustrations youngsters can readily associate with. These stories are written with regard to nature and the loving care of pets.

About the Author

Throughout my life, I have lived in many different parts of the world. I fondly remember the excitement and curiosity I felt when I first arrived in Japan as a young boy at the age of eight. Those fond memories still remain with me and inspire me to think and write about the environments I have lived in, and am living in now. I can still imagine the smaller things like those that caught my eye when I was so much younger. I have always enjoyed being around children, and storytelling seems to be diminishing by the wayside each year as technology leads the young on a different path which does not necessarily teach children about the joy of reading. The incorporation of technology and literature is a fine step toward balancing between physical books that are bound together and video games. I am now living in Olympia, Washington near the Cascade Mountain Range. The Pacific Northwest has always been my number one home, and I can remember from when I was only six years old, how there were trees and forests almost everywhere you went. Today, many of those forested areas have been removed to make room for urban sprawl. I hope that through my stories, I can instill a sense of pride, respect, and conservation of those forests and the creatures that live within them. In addition to world conservation, I also want to offer my childhood experiences of traveling abroad with today's children whose families are becoming more and more nomadic as the business world continues to expand into a global market.
