About the Book

Shielded and protected through his youth, 15-year-old Capo Premalvena is not prepared for a destiny with death-dealing evil. But when a love-scorned psychopath burns through the Dimensions in search of the Perfected Power of the Purity Philter, Capo discovers that the truth kept secret from his birth may thrust him to the center of a prophetic battle. To prepare, Capo is hurtled into the Sixth Dimension to another-world academy where the required swordplay tutorials serve as passage into moral lessons of friendship, betrayal, and second chances. In this realm, Capo learns thought can be as deadly as a deed; evil and purity can be paired into a surprising union; and choice is the point on which both the wicked and virtuous pivot.

About the Author

As if born to the craft, Alexandra Paulk began writing and illustrating stories while still in kindergarten. By age eleven, she was enjoying early success with published stories, celebrity/author interviews, and book reviews in such notable sources as Birnbaum’s Disney Guide for Kids, and Amazing-Kids.org. Ms. Paulk has also hosted travel videos for CityPass and Amazing Kids. Her writing talents have been recognized with first place honors in local, state, and national writing competitions. Publishing her first book at age twelve (Fairy Oasis: First Impressions, www.kidpub.com) in 2009, she is destined to be a prolific writer well before graduating from high school. Cross Blades, The Purity Prophecy, is Alexandra’s second published book, and she is hard at work on the sequel. Ms. Paulk is an honors student at Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida where she enjoys working on the yearbook staff and singing in the Voices In Praise chorus. Her interests include gourmet baking, travel, watching BBC America shows, and enjoying time with friends and family. She lives on a nature preserve in Florida with her parents and twelve adopted cats.
