About the Book
During the Neolithic period, a young maiden was sacrificed to the god Thor to provide rain to the parched earth and ceremoniously buried beneath what has now become known as the Maidenstone. Four thousand years later, the small town of Danesbury, Cheshire, United Kingdom, is rocked by the deaths of two young girls both murdered at the Maidenstone but some thirty years apart. The Danesbury police, following the murder of the latest victim, are now forced to reinvestigate the earlier unsolved cold-case murder in1966 and the copycat murder of the latest victim, as a result of the gossip, outcry, and demands of the Danesbury public.
About the Author
Brought up in England, she and her family immigrated to Canada in 1974, but still she feels very much attached to the villages in Cheshire, where she can trace her ancestors back to the fourteenth century. It is the source of inspiration behind her mystery novels, featuring the now-retired DI Heath and DS Pharies.
