About the Book
This is a story of a boy who finds love and friendship from a little dog named Me-Sha. She teaches him all about being responsible. Mike also learns about the animal shelter and how important it is to take care of your animals. So meet Mike and Me-Sha and see how they first met. You may find that the characters are similar to your own life if you are a child, or have a child and a furry face in the house.
About the Author
I have always had a love for books as well as for animals. So I decided to combine the two in hopes of raising enough money to open a no kill animal shelter. I come from a family of authors. My father Tim Hall published a book of poems back in the 60's, he is currently writing a novel about his experiences in the 60's. My uncle wrote a satire book about his thoughts of different meanings of the words in the dictionary. My great grandfather wrote a book on exceptional children. I feel it in my blood to pursue writing. I also feel just as passionately about helping animals. I couldn't think of anything better then to educate the young on the importance of being a responsible pet owner. I currently live in Manteca which is located in the Central Valley. I'm a legal clerk by day and reader and writer by night as well as a mom to a Jackie & Steven, both teenagers and wife to a wonderful husband Paul and of course mom to two dogs Culpepper and Girlpants and two cats Spyfox and Sgt. Paw. I am step mom to Erik and Haley. Haley Hartelius is an artist who has done me the pleasure of the illustrations in this book. She is an avid animal lover also.
