Author’s answer: No. Pilatus, Judas and his executioners were mere tools in the preordained Godly plan. Typical question: What did Jesus mean by the two parables of the sower? Typical Church answer: the secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others, they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding. Author’s answer: No. Jesus was describing the working of the subconscious mind in the first parable and the way to cleanse the subconscious in the second. Typical question: what did Jesus mean by “born again” as he explained to Nicodemus? Typical Church answer: the baptism, where a Christian is reconfirmed as such. Author’s answer: No. It is cleansing the subconscious mind to return to child’s purity. A spiritual renaissance that Nicodemus or the Church could not grasp. About the Book
In this period of theological ferment unmatched since the first Christian century, we once again have different ways of formulating Jesus’s significance and identity while remaining within the one faith. We are being called to read the Scripture with a new approach suitable to our time and place. We must reclaim Jesus again so that his living, updated legacy will be handed on to the next generation throughout this twenty-first century. This ferment is creating many levels of belief in the story of Jesus. Today we have to admit that we live within the anonymity of an evolving universe where the ultimate mystery that Jesus identified as our Divine Father is the source and goal of all creation. We cannot be genuinely human if we are not related to this divine mystery that pervades the human experience—the one we live within as fish live in the sea.
About the Author
Born in a religious Christian family with an inherited literary vocation in Lebanon, he graduated from a French college to pursue his US major in psychology, thence immersed in religious studies and most especially the fascinating life and teachings of Christ. This book concludes fifteen years of research, a culminating lifetime work dedicated to those who seek a different perspective on Jesus and his psycho-spiritual powers.
