DEEK IN THE FOREST In the eerie forest filled with the ghostly remains of those who have been captured and killed who venture into the forest by chance, the evil and gruesome inhabitants maintain and protect their forest from intruders. Deek crouches in the forest behind a tree, trembling with fear as the witches, trolls, goblins and the enchanted forest creatures march by in single formation followed by the skeletons who try to keep up with them. The skeletons fall, trip, stumble and have to realign themselves before they can rejoin the line. Deek cries silently, he is afraid, so afraid and with each passing minute which seems like an eternity he waits for the witches and her creatures to leave the forest. As the last troll leaves, a gust of wind swirls by leaving dust in the air. The air is now musty and filled with flying twigs and dust. Deeks breathing becomes rapid. He’s scared, tired and hungry and tries not to cry, he hides behind a tree. He’s injured, he has a large gash on his arm from a twig that sliced his arm when he ran past a branch that overhung one of the trees. He looks down at his arm then places his hand over his arm to stop the bleeding; he can’t stop the bleeding. Blood oozes out from his arm, he then reaches out on the ground for anything that he can find to help stop the bleeding. He gathers together the dried grass that he has found on the ground and swabs his arm, then wraps and ties the grass around his arm, with a long strand of grass. The witches have left the forest. It is now nighttime and the moon has appeared to cast its luminous light into the dark horrifying woods. Overhead in the moonlight he sees witches flying around and around, he becomes dizzy and tries not to vomit. He retches, he looks down and his vomit disappears into thin air.
