Freak

As I stood on the sidewalk outside Martin High School, my stomach felt that uncomfortable sickness it had felt on the first day at my previous school, and the first day before that. I felt sick in my stomach as it lurched uncomfortably; it was not pleasant. My hands and face felt sweaty and my body became very cold. I had been to nine different schools in the past seven years, and it was hard to adjust and get used to all the different changes and surroundings. My dad kept saying he was sorry, it was because of his job as a successful lawyer; he always had to transfer to different firms around the country due to his excellence and his success. I didn’t think he was sorry; all he really seemed to care about was work. He didn’t really take in the thoughts of others; even his family. He seemed to be a heartless man, but my mother still loved him My father made good money from his job, so we lived comfortably and happily. We had a nice two-story house in a nice neighborhood every time we moved; they were always charming, warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and big enough for three people to live in and be happy with nice décor and furniture. Unfortunately, we weren’t happy; especially me. I wished I could be happy, but the fact that I had to keep leaving a place when I was getting so close to liking it made me feel sad inside and I hated feeling sad.
