Prophecy always cast a shadow before it. In the late 1980’s my pastor was teaching through a series of sermons the prophecy of the book of Revelation. While he was teaching these ongoing series I found myself pondering his teachings. During that time there was a letter floating among churches and Christians alike stating that Gays would find their way into “mainstream politics, the White House, our public schools and even in our churches” which as absolutely unheard of back then. I passed this letter off as I do most propaganda in that I need to know for sure that what I am reading is true and from reliable sources. Not just someone stirring up a false statement in order to prove a theory. The fact is, I don’t believe everything I read or hear and I don’t believe everyone who tells me things. I need proof before I act.
I am not a member of any organization including the NRA, but I do respect their principles. I do believe in the Bible as a law which is absolutely true in every word (old and new Testaments) and I do agree in our current gun control.
Anyway, back to the Ponderosa……while riding to visit the sick with my pastor, I mention to him that not only biblical prophecy, but all large future events and changes has things leading up to the actual event. In other words, prophecy is a major change in the future or history. It is not just some major event dreamed up from leaders and the change is made. For instance, I remember the day when President Kennedy was assassinated and the impact it had on America. For the first time in history we had images that shocked the world on television. I remember many adults saying that someone would kill Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby did just that. In a short time afterward we witnessed the assassinations of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King. I saw the turmoil it caused afterwards on how America felt. Because of these events, laws had to be made and enforced concerning the purchase of hand guns. The assassinations of these men were the shadow casts leading up to a major change for our nation.
As for my pastor, I mentioned that the one world government prophecy would have to have a one world currency. That we could as example call this one world currency “credits”. Remember this was in the late 1980’s before internet had really caught on. In our conversation I mentioned that a shadow had to be cast before such prophecy could be fulfilled. So I went on to tell him that if we came under a one world currency there would have to be a huge breakdown in world economics, much like we witnessed in the past few years. I went on telling him that one day currency as we know it will no longer exist. As we work, we will never see a pay check. Instead the “credits” we earned for working will be issued to the bank in some form and we would never pay currency for items needed. Instead we would use credit cards or something that would take these credits out of our accounts to pay for items.
My pastor said to me that that would never work because how would we pay for such small things such as fuel for cars and soft drinks from vending machines. Well, look around now. We can have our pay checks send to our banking accounts via internet instead of ever receiving a actual pay check. Move funds from one account to another without ever touching a single dollar. We simply scan our cards at the local fueling station and it is taken out without having to go in and pay first. My oldest son is an engineer that converts everything from vending machines to washing machines at the local laundry mat to debit or credit cards. Within the past 10 years, I saw sales in my business switch from two percent total credit card sales to over eighty percent. The generation after me uses debit and credit cards to pay everything from a dollar movie to utility bills without ever using cash or check. The United States currency is lower now compared to foreign funds than ever before. Once again, prophecy cast a shadow before it.
