About the Book

This story was inspired by my two daughters, Dymon and Dorian, their experiences in school, years filled with heartache and joy. Both girls encountered people who were good for them and some not so good. For each of my girls, the encounters were learning and growing experiences, which helped to mold them and build their characters. Like lots of children, they’ve experienced bullying, and the way they handled it is what really counts and really shows what type of adults they will turn out to be. In all our lives storms will come and winds will blow, but what we do to calm them defines our true destination.

About the Author

My name is Ladena Mae Scott. I am forty-eight years old. I live in Bakersfield, California, and I work at the high school district as an aide for children with special needs. I have been writing for quite a while, and since I was a child, I have dreamed of becoming a writer.
