About the Author
The struggles of Olga’s fascinating life inspired this truthful collection of poems. Throughout which her experiences as a daughter, wife, mother, immigrant, but most of all, a woman create a voice, allowing the reader a unique look into her very soul. Olga Novogorodsky (Novikova) was born during the Soviet era in the city of Kharkov, Ukraine. The point of view behind her poetry is the hope for a better world and a better life. Despite many painful moments, the poetry is filled with the belief in true love, honesty, and the good in all others. The collection of poems urges people to be kind, sincere, and sympathetic to human suffering, live in the moment as life is fleeting, and never give up. As the poet writes in one of her poems:”И я иду, и падать мне нельзя, ведь за окном моим чужая мне земля,” find the strength to keep going and survive whatever life may throw at you.
