About the Book
This book, Accolades, is a collection of Farrukh Ahmad’s spiritual-romantic poems that Yasmin Faruque has translated from Bengali to English. It contains poems about the prophet Muhammad (PBUH); his successors, the four Caliphs of Islam; and other holy men, in addition to some romantic poems on various subjects. In these poems Farrukh Ahmad has laid open his love of beauty, truth, and adventure.
About the Author
Yasmin Faruque, a native of Bangladesh, now lives in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She moved to Grand Forks in 2002 with her husband and son. She is a freelance writer who has published articles in the Grand Forks Herald in 2005 and 2006. She has participated in the annual Writers Conference at the University of North Dakota since 2005. The present collection, Accolades, is her third book. Her second, Tribute to Tagore, was published by Trafford Publications in July 2012.
