When we reached the doctor’s office we saw that there were many other children who had somewhat similar conditions and were sitting and waiting patiently to visit the doctor. When the doctor called us in he examined my eyes and then asked my mom a few questions like, “When did we notice this?” and “Does anybody else in the family has Amblyopia.” Amblyopia!!! My mom shouted out and I thought something was not right. The doctor said that it is another name for Lazy eye and we don’t have to get worried this can be treated with proper care. Also it could develop because of an eye disease such as cataract or the stopping of a clear image from being focused inside the eye. The children may also inherit conditions that lead to amblyopia where, the brain does not fully accept the images seen by the bad eye, from their parents. This almost always affects only one eye but may cause reduced vision in both eyes. He also said that about three percent of children under six have some form of lazy eye.

About the Book
This book will deal with the medical challenge children face named as amblyopia, or lazy eye. The emotions the children and their parents go through while dealing with this problem. Also in the end how they get help and are successful in overcoming this problem.
About the Author
My name is Ayesha Haq. I am a registered child development practitioner. I deal with children daily. This leads me to write about the problems they face, along with the emotions they go through while dealing with their problems. Also, my books will suggest the solutions and help for parents who are going through these challenges along with their children in a subtle manner. I am a very loving mother of two boys. I live in Toronto, Canada. In my oncoming books I will be working on some of the real-life problems that the children face with the fervor to deal with them in the right manner.
