About the Book

Hot Diggity Doggerels is aimed at the dog-loving child in all of us. The illustrations are straight from my heart, and the jokes are too. Dogs are exceptional creatures with “very private” lives. I think they have relationships and play ball and go to parties all without us being aware of their whereabouts. This book is a supposition of a life led by dogs I know. The names and situations have been changed in order to protect the innocent. No animals or people were harmed in the making of this book. Both Freddie and Jet tell me that they enjoyed the experience very much.

About the Author

This is a fun book for my dogs because they bring me so much love and joy! I never had the pleasure of enjoying an animals’ company. When I was growing up, we lived on a busy street and our yard was not fenced. As I got older, I lived in apartments, many of which had “no pets” clauses. I also felt it would be wrong to work long hours away from home with a pet stuck inside all day. But the day finally came when the timing was just right. Our Big Boy Jet called us from the dog pound and told us to come and pick him up. Freddie followed shortly after, and our nuclear family was formed. So this is my salute to all dogs. I love all animals, but I would have to say that Jet and Freddie are my and my husband’s best friends.
