About the Book
Piece by Piece Kiss me I may break Then hold me Piece by Piece In your arms So I may live again I wanted to create a sculpture that showed love. The cover shows my sculpture. Once I was finished, the name of my book came to me. I realized that love takes several pieces to make it work, just as my sculpture. Every day is not a bad day, and the sun does shine; all we have to do is believe. Thanks for taking the time to read my book.
About the Author
Sonja Plummer was born in Bethesda, Maryland, and while she started writing poems as a child, her passion for writing really came to light when she started college in 2009. Her first collection of poems, Piece by Piece: Love Poems, has a picture of a sculpture that she completed in college on the cover. The sculpture is also called Piece by Piece and represents the expressive aspects of love and that love, like poetry, takes several pieces to make it work. Two more books have followed the first: Window a Poet’s Journey details the spectrum of life and, like her first book, has a cover photo of an art piece in another medium. This time it is a painting that Sonja did in a high school art class illustrating life’s spectrum. In Is Love Enough?, Sonja returned to the theme of love, and her cover photo, like the poems in this collection, illustrates the many colors of love in families and relationships. As one of thirteen children, family has always had a tremendous influence on Sonja. Having the love and guidance of her parents and siblings has allowed her to strive for the best. Her special joy is sharing her poetry with family and friends as it lends richness in expressing her thoughts and feelings. Sonja currently lives in Ashburn, Virginia, where, between school and work, she is working on two more poetry collections: What’s Next? and Little Treasures Love Poems.
