About the Author
Joanne Kelley Ludovici is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. She taught art for several years before “retiring” to raise her children, during which time she continued to write and illustrate children’s books and create original quilts. Some of the books were based on her koala quilts, which were featured in McCall’s Needlework and Crafts and Good Housekeeping. While living in Boston, Joanne spent many hours walking and taking photos in the Boston Public Garden. The Swan Boats were a yearly highlight in the garden and her imagination was ignited when thinking what if there was magic going on here. Morning Starr and the Magic Swan was the result.
