The next morning Oscar, Lorna, Gaige, Lizzie, and their mom all walked down to Main Street to get a place on the sidewalk for the upcoming parade. As they waited for the parade to start Gaige was getting impatient. So Lizzie's mom let them get a snow cone to tide them over. The parade started at exactly 10:00. They could hear the marching band in the distance as they watched for it to approach. As the band marched along Lizzie spotted clowns, they were her favorite thing in a parade. The kids watched as the clowns juggled, rode unicycles, and handed out balloon animals. After watching the parade to the very end their mom said "Where to now? The games, the petting zoo, or is anyone hungry? " " I wanna go to the petting zoo! " Gaige said while jumping up and down. " Let's go then! " Their mom declared as they headed toward the animals. It was a extremely hot day so the petting zoo didn't have a very pleasant smell, but no one seemed to mind. There were cows, goats, sheep, miniature ponies, and even llamas! Gaige was so astatic he didn't know which animal to see first. " Let's go see the cow first mom, please." He said dragging his mom away before she could even answer. The kids were having a great time with the cow until they heard Gaige screaming. When they turned around everyone couldn't help but laugh because the cow was chewing Gaige's hair like it was it's cud! " Help me! " He cried as his mom got him away from the cow and they moved on to the next animal. After seeing all of the other animals there was only one left to see the llamas! " Hey buddy! What's your name? " Gaige asked the awkward looking animal as it spit in his face. Lizzie lost control of her laughter as she tried to catch her breath she managed to say " That was the funniest thing I've ever saw. It was even funnier than the cow! " " This isn't a zoo it's nightmare!" Gaige cried.
