A Soldier's Promise

About the Book

This book is about a young child who, just like every child, is scared of many things when they go to bed. The mother explains to the child that she shouldn’t be scared because there is always someone there to protect them even while that person is not there. The child’s father is a soldier, like so many in real life, who is gone from time to time. The mother reminds the child that her father will always protect her no matter where he is.

About the Author

My name is Michael Moloney, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. At the age of twenty, I joined the Canadian Armed Forces. At the age of twenty-two, I was sent on my first deployment to Kandahar, Afghanistan. Now, only three years later, I have completed two tours of Afghanistan and several other deployments with the Canadian military.
