Saga of a Country Girl

When daddy and mama separated, he was determined not to have his children be raise by a stepparent, so he took all eight of us and move to the valley of the Mississippi Dalta, the near by towns was Morgan City, and Itta Bena. At one time we all live with ours grandparents, but at age six, her daddy decided to get married again, and he found himself under the same roof with a crazy woman, who brought three kids of her own into our family, and between them there came to be four more children added to and already large family, after a few years she dies, and daddy was left with four more little ones, to raise all along. The few months out of the year that Edna went to school, she was being bully, and stayed in fear all the time, then one day she got the upper hand, At thirteen she was rape for the first time, at fifteen she almost shot a man, and later became her first cousin worst enemy, fell in love for the first time, and sex became the order of the day, when she became the oldest child at home, her responisibility was heavy, there was five younger slibing that she had to care for as if a mother would, daddy had his hands full trying to provide, and there was never enough of anything, between working in the fields and running a house, she gave up on schooling, and after staying in the seven grade for the third year she drop out, once again, love came into her life, one of which she never forgotten, but move on with her life. A move to Florida. Made it though dose crazy years, got married. And life as she knew it was gone, not so much for the better but, writing about the first twenty five years of her life, is something that she felt that needed to be done.
