About the Author

My name is Deanne Rudling, and I come from South Africa. I have been a teacher for thirty years and have a passion for young children and making learning fun and exciting for them. I am married and have a son of my own, whom I read to from an early age. I love reading myself and think you are never alone if you have a book. From my teaching, I have learnt what children like to read and have introduced this into my books, which incorporate short vowel sounds in an exciting way, by creating a family of rats that live up to their names and have endearing characteristics. I hope you have as much fun reading them as I have had writing them. Enjoy!
