One Wednesday morning Father Pea was reading the Veggie Mix News when he saw an advertisement for the Veggie Smash Derby. Father Pea declared. I am going to enter. Green Pea thought about all the toys, candy, and books the grand prize of a thousand seeds could buy. Quickly Father Pea and Horst Horseradish started working on building a car. Green Pea couldn’t wait for the Veggie Smash Derby.

My name is Chance Hansen. I am a children’s book author, who was raised on a farm near Cherhill, Alberta. I started writing when I was thirteen years old with the poem “The Unspoken Side in the Silent Reality.” I was a homeschooled boy growing up when I found my love for writing and helping on the family farm.
