About the Book

Seo-hyun is a young female student living in a competitive society that judges different people harshly. She craves to be an artist but is a bit afraid of what people think of her. She is asked by her teacher to befriend a new student—a North Korean defector. Seo-hyun must overcome her own prejudice in order to be a good friend.

About the Author

Charlene Araujo graduated from Yale in 2007. She has volunteered with North Korean refugees for four years while working as an English teacher in South Korea.
