About the Book

Bees Don’t Sting Brown People is a delightful tale, inspired by true events, of two little kids going on an outing to the park with their moms. Marin and AJ learn a valuable lesson about the diversity of their skin color as they find out that the only difference in their skin is the color. AJ’s brown-toned skin is the same as Marin’s cream-colored skin, and the pals learn whether bees know the difference! Adventures with AJ are stories designed to help children learn to understand and embrace the diversity of their world.
