As I have been working in the field of education, I have known many people who are experiencing this change in their lives and the lives of their children. I am much better at giving advice and support than I am at taking it. So, I figured this would be a perfect opportunity to support others and help them to avoid the pitfalls that I have fallen into during this huge change in life.Thererefore, sharing some of my wisdom would hopefully guide others to keep their children at the forefront of the concerns during the divorce and after. It is possible to have this tremendous change in a child’s life and not damage them along the way. However all too often that is not what we see. My main piece of advice to parents is to “Love your children more than you hate your (ex) spouse”, which is easier, said than done. I know, but the end result is a healthier family and a healthier you. Our job as parents is to produce productive children able to weather the storms of the world and be contributing citizens, divorce or not!

This book is intended to support parents who are experiencing divorce. It is intended to be a reminder that children need to be supported and protected during this experience in their lives. I hope to provide people who are divorcing with some gentle reminders and some level of comfort that they are not alone during this difficult time and that you can do it with dignity.
About the Author
I am a life long educator who supports families and advocates for her students. I was born and raised in New England and still reisde in northeastern, CT with my children. This book allowed me to share some ideas and words of wisdom with others who I may not meet through my career or personal relationships. I hope that I can help one person sort out the issues that come along with divorce and keeping the children whole and healthy throughout the process.
