About the Book

The songs in this book are from my experiences growing up. All these songs (or poems) were written from my journeys. The backdrop for my writing was Brooklyn, Manhattan, Prospect Park, Coney Island and Greenwich Village. These songs were written, recorded and shared with childhood friends and family.

About the Author

I was born in 1955 in Red Hook, Brooklyn to Mae and Dom Costantino. When I was four, my family, which then included my older sister Anna, moved to Park Slope, Brooklyn. In Park Slope, my mom gave birth to my sister Prudie and my brother Frankie. Growing up in Park Slope was an interesting experience. I played sports all day in the P.S. 10 school yard. I rooted for the Yankees. I enjoyed watching TV shows and movies on TV. Burt Lancaster was my favorite actor. I got an appreciation for music when my dad would bring home used 45’s from the jukebox at the Veteran’s Post on Union Street. I bought my first guitar in a pawn shop and learned how to play from a friend
