About the Book

Aesop’s Tales have been used as an example of values all through the ages, since antiquity, when a Greek slave was let free by his master to write his beloved stories. This book contains five of Aesop’s stories, retold by Amphitrite in a free verse, which leads the readers to a picturesque place and gives them an enjoyable lesson.

About the Author

In Greece, where I was born and raised, myths, poems, and fairy tales were a part of our everyday life. I have many fond memories of my childhood, sitting around the fireplace with my family during the long winter nights, listening to enchanting stories from the adults, and reciting the poems I had learned in school. I have always enjoyed telling my stories and reciting my poems to the captive audience of my children, now my grandchildren, and to students in the schools where I was teaching and now to the students in my substitute teaching classes. This is a very small sample of my poems.
