About the Book

In this children’s book, a young boy’s dream to build comes to life as he is allowed to take us through the process of building a house with his dad, including—but not limited to—grading the driveway with heavy machinery, watching the well-digging rig, showing how the block is laid, riding in the crane and lull to set the trusses, backfilling with the bobcat, putting down a wood floor, and helping with the fence. He even gets to climb the dirt hill made from digging the basement. This book is both educational and fun for all children.

About the Author

Stacey Kramer Brickell is a first-time American author who set out to write this book for her son in an attempt to provide him and other children with a reference for building equipment and machinery. She was born in North Platte, Nebraska, in 1973. She is married, with three children, has two other siblings, and currently resides in North Carolina, where she is an entrepreneur working as a nurse anesthetist and co-owner of The Essentials, INC scrub hat company since 2011.
