Poppy was a mischievous, fun-loving puppy. She waited on the shelf of the toy aisle until the little red-haired girl spotted her and took her home. Poppy went on one first adventure after another. She got so excited, wondering what would happen next. Wherever the little red-haired girl went, Poppy went along. They had adventures everywhere.

About the Author

As a little girl living on the prairies, high up on top of a haystack, my imagination was full of adventures. Hiding in the tall golden wheat fields, I was an explorer. As I crept into the red barn and hid behind willow trees, I was a spy. When I played my piano in the house, I was a famous musician. Life was always adventurous. Even though I was little, my dreams were big.
