About the Author

My name is Eleanor. I grew up in Rochester, New York. I have always loved poetry. I started writing poetry when I was about fourteen years old. I was a troubled teen. I willingly put myself in really bad situations, which never ended good for me, from a teen mom to drugs and jail. Eventually, I met a wonderful woman who got my attention. She taught me that we are never alone and that God is always there if we just call on him. (She has been my best friend for thirteen years now.) With that, I changed my life. Soon I was happy and had a good family and wonderful fiancé. I could not have been happier. Then the moment that would send my world crashing down came—he died. It tore my world apart. It was hard for years, but we got through it, and that is what I want to share. Life is hard and unfair, but you can get through it if you just have faith and hang on.
