About the Author

Marquis Powe is a native of Silas, Alabama. He and his wife later moved to Georgia where they have a daughter. He followed in his mother Dorothy Powe's footsteps of becoming a teacher. Marquis attended the University of West Alabama to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in School Counseling. He later received his Specialist degree in Curriculum Instruction Management and Administration from Nova Southeastern University. He has been in the education field for 16 years and continues to mold young minds for a brighter future.
