About the Book

Evelyn Dahlke, a retired pastor and senior citizen, chronicles her life during the pandemic in an honest and forthright manner. Her reflections, journaling, and poetry reveal her daily experiences and struggles informed by history, politics, faith, and finally hope.
About the Author
Evelyn Dahlke served as a teacher and program coordinator for a day training and habilitation program for twenty years while co-owning and operating a dairy farm with her husband. She, then, attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota and has served as a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for almost thirty years. Her three prior books include Butterfly Song (Plainview Press, 2008), Angel Wings (Trafford Press, 2014), and An Unexpected Grief (Outskirts Press, 2021). She also has two poems published by the American Library of Poetry including “Butterfly Song” and “Most Precious Gift.” Now retired, she is at home with her cat, Molly, in Edina, Minnesota.
