About the Book

An 89-year-old grandma, sensing her earthly life will not last much longer, writes to her eight grandchildren and to others, hoping to stir their hearts to believe. Her strong faith in God compels her to leave a message as to how to live by faith, especially in the dark periods of life. Her love for her family shines through her simple and honest telling of profound and meaningful happenings in her life. Grief and compassion, joy, delight and humour all join in this ride. She takes you on a sometimes-rocky road journey to illustrate the struggling complexities of our lives. Leonie’s road journey to find out “Why” we can trust God makes it clear that she has seen the Hand of the Lord God Almighty working magnificently in her life. He has proved His faithfulness. This is her third book, but she is much older now, so she hopes you will hang in there. A little shakier in the telling but God has been known to use the weaker and shakier ones!

About the Author

The author, Leonie (Lee) Serediuk was born in Surrey, England and spent her early childhood in her homeland before immigrating with her mother and brother to Saskatchewan, Canada. They moved to British Columbia. Lee was married to the love of her life for 57 years before Alzhemier’s took him. She has two daughters, a son, a son-in-law, daughter-in-law, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandkids. Nursing had been her profession for 30 years, but her priority has always been caring for her family. Lee made a commitment to the Lord as a teenager; however, she did not grow in the Word until 1979 when she rededicated her life to Jesus. She has written two previous books, the first (And Still will I Trust Him) out of a sense of mission, believing the Lord trusted her with these experiences to enable her to extend a helping had to others going through similar experiences, in the second, she shares another chapter of her life story, And Still Will I Trust Him ‘A Royal Journey Through Alzheimer’s’, not with a debilitating sadness but with an expectancy of what God will reveal to her with each new day, the conclusion of which has been dovetailed into this new book. To meet Leonie is to be hugged, to be encouraged, to be inspired, and to want to learn more of how this elegant, now almost 90-year-old, lady still remains so youthful, vibrant, joyous, passionate and engaging. She does not pretend to be a Bible scholar or any kind of expert on family and marriage. She simply wants to encourage the reader through the relating of her real story, and to tell of the great and profound hope there is in knowing and trusting our Lord Jesus Christ.
