About the Author

My life started from humble beginnings in Oakland, California. I was raised in Pasadena, which taught me the meaning of lasting friendships and keeping good company. Here I learned where I came from and where I could go if I chose to. I proudly stand on unshaken ground as a believer that bad circumstances don’t always mean bad outcomes. To my village: I really love all of you dearly. You held my hand, heard my cries, stood up to me, held your ground, and made me think bigger. I could not get through college without you all in my corner telling me not to stop, not to give up. You guys have touched my life.
