Pegeen Brennan was born in the Cariboo region of British Columbia, spent her childhood years in B.C. and Ontario, and moved to Fernie in the fifties.
She taught English Literature at the University of British Columbia for twenty-two years. Since taking early retirement, she and her husband live in Kilpoola, B.C., near Osoyoos.
Her fiction and poetry have appeared in various literary magazines; she has published one novel: Zarkeen (Quadrant Editions, Concordia University, Montreal, 1982), and three books of poetry: Release, Word Thaw, and Thirteen Curses for Burial.
