“OMEN LAKE”

Suspense, drama, romance and death are all on the menu as Immortal Guardians and Dark Beings again fight each other for human souls.
Omen Lake Cemetery was overgrown and in need of a little TLC when the job offer of caretaker landed in the lap of gifted Dee Priest. Little did she know that her need for isolation would lead her to a mystifying place. An ominous setting that signified death whenever a gray lake dared to appear.
Roman, the Master of the Dark, threw Minions at Dee, one after another, using her as a pawn to exact revenge against her Guardian Hunter father, Jaxon Riley.
Immortal Guardians, Saul and Jaxon, would have to think fast to come up with a plan to protect Dee and make sure she had a chance at a normal life. Saul enlists the aid of Callie, a calico kitten with the heart of a lion, to signal him whenever she sensed Dee was in danger while they worked out their battle plan.
Despite sending the golden winged Guardian called Hunter, aka The Butcher, back to protect Dee, death still nipped at her heels and lurked at her door.
Could the Guardians again beat back the Dark or would the Dark be able to unleash death to again feed on innocent souls?
Licking its lips and flexing its claws, the Dark’s belly rumbled with hunger as it anticipated its next bloody meal...Dee!
Author Diane Nielsen once again takes her readers on a fast paced ride with the telling of the tale, “Omen Lake” Book Four in The Guardian Series.
Immortal Guardian Saul takes center stage as he is charged by the Fates to find one special soul to be sent back to earth and again live the life of a human. Not just any human but one with a special talent that the leader of the Dark, Roman, can not allow to live.
Roman is obsessed with taking the life of Dee Priest as he sends his minions after her in the hopes one of them will slither back to him and tell him the bloody details of her much wished for death.
It’s a tug of war between the Guardians and the Dark as they do battle over Dee’s life and her soul, each meaning to be the victor.
Old friends and new are brought to life as readers turn the pages of “Omen Lake” until the last word is read and the story is brought to an end.

EXCERPT from “Omen Lake”
“What is it?” Jaxon asked, coming to rest beside his friend Saul.
“I need you to take care of a Dark Being that is causing problems with one of my charges,” Saul replied.
“Why do you need me?” Jaxon asked as his interest was aroused. Saul was more than capable of dispatching Dark Beings that messed with his humans, so Jaxon was sure this was something special.
“I just thought you might like to handle this one on your own,” Saul said slowly. He was dragging out the time when he would divulge all to the Immortal Hunter.
“Ok,” Jaxon said. “What is the name of the person I need to help?”
Saul braced himself for the storm he was about to unleash and then he looked Jaxon straight in the eye and told him. “It’s your daughter.”
The dark eyes that had been interested before turned to ice and the handsome face became stone. Jaxon’s hands turned to fists and the growl that came from his throat caused the ground to heave and the air to tremble.
“Do you need me to tell you where she is?” Saul asked, knowing the question was only a formality.
“I know where to find her,” Jaxon said, as he opened his wings and, with a mighty leap, took flight.
