“1999” Simply put, I never thought that I’d be doing this for decades. Simply put, I have created a world where peace still has a chance. Simply put, I have been proving my love for you upon my every rant. Simply put, I’d have to say that I’m still not even close to the end… “Smile my love – we are now at the beginning.” Wars of the Mind The knight I am, constantly battling these endless Wars of the Mind. Such beautiful rants that have grown attached the acid dripping down my spine. For decades this soul has been walking and searching for comfort and rest. And when irony does occur in my life, it’s only because I gave it the chance. The poet I am, constantly ripping off my own shamed and forgotten face. These endless battles I do fight, within my heart, my soul, my bones and grave. For so many years this has gone on, and I shall still battle “for you” every day. You my love – my reader – my inspiration with whom I share my loves and pains. The demon I am, here laughing with no one at all beside me. With the ghosts be found the reasons of the constant rage and torment. For ages I have been beaten for the simple fact that I can take it all. And forever I shall remain here at war, doing my best to save our souls. The hero I am not, for I can’t even shelter you from this endless war. I am but a poet that has hidden his heart, behind an open door. And all of my truths shall remain frozen, upon my every twisted line. Still I shall remain at your side, battling these endless Wars of the Mind. The knight I am, still battling my way to be there at your side. I am many things, millions of creatures and voices in my mind. Still I stand and battle, doing my best to keep you strong and safe. Though I am not a hero, still I shall be here at your side every day. The poet I am, here standing on a ledge and looking down. For ages I’ve been out of my mind, somewhere where I couldn’t be found. I am here with you and together we shall survive these endless Wars of the Mind. So now I believe that I can smile, as we shall all together fall away “so sweetly-departed...” If it’s likely for someone “else” to have a true black-heart. Then it’s likely for me to breathe under water. “Think about it…”
