PETE FRIERSON is a paralegal for Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and The Cumberlands in Columbia, Tennessee a nonprofit organization. He is a civil rights leader and in 2014 was awarded the Outstanding Civil Rights Advocate Award by Columbia State Community College, Making a Difference Award by the South Central Abuse Coalition and in 2015, he was the recipient of the Nashville Business Journal’s inaugural Veteran’s Award.
Pete is retired from the Navy and enjoys traveling, camping, riding motorcycle and helping people.
He is also a member of Cambridge “Who’s Who”, past president of the Boys and Girls Club of America and lifetime member of the Disable Veterans, Fleet Reserve Association, camping World and the National Association for the advancement of Colored People. He is a graduate of Columbia State Community College where he graduate cum laude with an AA in marketing.
