THE SCAMP ODYSSEY II Part 1 - The Redwoods and the Oregon Coast Part 2 - Washington and the Columbia River East This book is a travelogue of Mark and wife Keah, journeys in the Scamp Trailer and wonderful times to the West Coast. Among them: in Part 1, the California Redwoods, Newport and its Aquarium, Yaquina Point, The Tillamook World War II Blimp Museum, and the Evergreen Air Museum with "The Spruce Goose." In Part II, Cape Disappointment and the Lewis and Clark Trail, the Olympia Rain Forest, the Columbia River East with the St. John Greek Orthodox Monastery and then Mount Hood and home to Colorado.
About the Author
Mark J. Curran is Professor Emeritus from Arizona State University where he worked from 1968 to 2011. He has now written fifty-six books, eight in academic circles before retirement, forty-eight with author publishing since retirement. The books run the gamut from travel, teaching and research in Latin America in Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia and especially Brazil, and to a lesser extent in Spain and Portugal. And the fictionalization of all the above. The most recent series is “The Scamp Odyssey,” travels with Keah from 2004 to 2022.
