Satish C. Bhatnagar, Professor of Mathematics, joined University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 1974. After serving four academic institutions for seven years, he leaped from India to Indiana University for PhD. The foundations of his literary and mathematical tastes were laid down during the last two years of bachelor’s degree. His entire course work was two-thirds Math and one-third English. Gradually, history got integrated in his intellectual development. He has held visiting positions in India, Malaysia and Oman.
